Niagara Falls Essentials

This collection focuses on the dramatic geological features of the Niagara Gorge beyond the main cascades. It includes the Whirlpool Aero Car, an antique cable car crossing the border-straddling rapids, and the White Water Walk’s boardwalk alongside Class 6 whitewater. On the American side, Whirlpool State Park offers rim and gorge-level trails, while the Niagara Glen Nature Reserve protects rare Carolinian forest. Visitors can also view the massive counter-clockwise vortex from Thompson Point or arrange aerial tours from the nearby heliport.
