Natural Wonders of Lika

The Lika region is home to some of Croatia’s most significant geological formations, centered around the UNESCO-listed Plitvice Lakes National Park. This collection highlights the park's interconnected tufa-barrier lakes and cascading waterfalls, such as the 78-meter Veliki Slap. Beyond the lakes, the list includes the extensive Cerovačke cave system, the deep Mamet pit on Velebit, and the ancient salt pans of Pag. These sites demonstrate the unique karst topography of the Dinaric Alps, featuring subterranean rivers and ancient limestone structures.
