Al Haouz Province: The Absolute Essentials

Al Haouz Province encompasses the rugged High Atlas Mountains, dominated by Mount Toubkal, North Africa’s highest peak. The region is a center for Berber heritage, featuring the trekking hub of Imlil and the 12th-century Tin Mal Mosque, an architectural precursor to the Koutoubia. Highlights include the alpine landscapes of Oukaïmeden, the botanical installations of Anima Garden, and the waters of Lalla Takerkoust. This province provides a transition from the arid plains of Marrakesh to the snow-capped peaks and fertile valleys of the Atlas range.
