Al Haouz Province: The Absolute Essentials

Al Haouz Province encompasses the rugged High Atlas Mountains, dominated by Mount Toubkal, North Africa’s highest peak. The region is a center for Berber heritage, featuring the trekking hub of Imlil and the 12th-century Tin Mal Mosque, an architectural precursor to the Koutoubia. Highlights include the alpine landscapes of Oukaïmeden, the botanical installations of Anima Garden, and the waters of Lalla Takerkoust.
