Cheile Nerei-Beușnița National Park preserves the longest limestone gorge in Romania, carved by the Nera River over 22 kilometers. The landscape is characterized by rare karst phenomena, including the deep turquoise Ochiul Beiului and the subterranean-fed Lake Dracula, the country's largest karst lake.
