Historic Sites on Föhr

Föhr’s landscape is shaped by centuries of maritime and agricultural history. This collection highlights the island's architectural heritage, featuring the three "Frisian Cathedrals"—medieval churches in Süderende, Nieblum, and Wyk known for their Romanesque and Gothic elements. Sankt Laurentii

12th-century Romanesque and Gothic church in Süderende. Its cemetery is famous for "talking gravestones" that narrate the life stories of local seafarers and whalers.
