Горные приюты Юлийских Альп
Julian Alps Mountain Huts
The Julian Alps feature an extensive network of mountain huts, known locally as "koče," managed by the Alpine Association of Slovenia. These shelters range from high-altitude lodges like Kredarica, which serves as a year-round meteorological station, to valley-based cabins in the Soča and Tamar regions. They provide essential accommodation, local food, and weather protection for hikers traversing the Slovenian High Level Route and those summiting Mount Triglav.
Triglav Lodge at Kredarica
The Triglav Lodge at Kredarica is the highest mountain hut in Slovenia and the highest meteorological station in the country.
Koča na Planini pri Jezeru
Located at 1,453 meters on the Fužina alpine pastures above Lake Bohinj. The hut sits on the edge of a mountain pasture featuring a small lake.
Rifugio Alpino Guglielmo Pelizzo
Located at 1,320 meters on the southern slope of Mount Matajur near the Italian-Slovenian border. It is accessible by road from Savogna.
