Munich Parks and Gardens

Munich’s green spaces range from the sprawling English Garden, famous for its river surfing and beer gardens, to the formal 180-hectare Nymphenburg Palace Park and the Renaissance-style Court Garden. The city also features diverse botanical collections, the Olympic-era Luitpoldpark, and numerous recreational lakes such as Riemer See and the Langwieder district. These areas provide historic architecture, nature reserves like Allacher Lohe, and swimming spots along the Isar river at the Flaucher.
