Reus Essentials

Reus serves as a living museum of Catalan Modernism, highlighted by the works of Lluís Domènech i Montaner and the legacy of Antoni Gaudí. The city’s architectural route includes Casa Navàs and the Institut Pere Mata, alongside the Gaudí Centre museum. Beyond architecture, Reus is the historic center of Spanish vermouth production, with dedicated museums and tasting rooms like Museu del Vermut. The central Plaça del Mercadal and the 19th-century Teatre Fortuny anchor a compact historic core defined by neoclassical monuments and traditional markets.
