Sofia’s spiritual landscape spans nearly two millennia, featuring the 4th-century Saint George Rotunda and the UNESCO-listed Boyana Church, famous for its 13th-century frescoes. The city’s center showcases religious diversity through the Neo-Byzantine Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, the Moorish Revival Sofia Synagogue—one of Europe's largest—and the Ottoman-era Banya Bashi Mosque.
