Torri del Benaco Essentials

Torri del Benaco sits on the eastern shore of Lake Garda, anchored by the 14th-century Scaligero Castle and its historic lemon house. This selection features the town’s core landmarks, including the Baroque Church of Saints Peter and Paul and the ferry terminal connecting to the western shore. Historic Fortifications

Torri del Benaco’s defensive history spans from prehistoric rock carvings to medieval military architecture. The centerpiece is the 14th-century Scaliger Castle, which features a rare 18th-century citrus greenhouse and an ethnographic museum. Surrounding the town, several archaeological sites preserve ancient petroglyphs etched into glaciated limestone. These carvings, such as the Roccia dei Cavalieri and Roccia delle Griselle, depict figures and symbols dating from the Bronze Age through the Middle Ages, illustrating the long-standing human presence along Lake Garda.
