Аббревиатура CERN произошла от фр. Conseil Européen pour la Recherche Nucléaire. В русском языке обычно используется аббревиатура ЦЕРН.

Guided Tours:
CERN welcomes the pupils, students or general public and organizes guided tours. Depending on the size of your party, the following tours can be offered:
- Tours for pupils and students (minimum 12 participants and a maximum of 48 including teachers or accompagnying adults)
- Tours for groups (minimum 12 participants and a maximum of 48 including accompagnying persons)
- Tours for individuals and groups of maximum 11 participants
