Annapurna Peaks and Lakes
The Annapurna massif in north-central Nepal contains some of the world's highest summits and most remote glacial lakes. This selection features Annapurna I, the first 8,000-meter peak ever summited, alongside the iconic fishtail spire of Machapuchare. It includes Tilicho Lake, situated at 4,919 meters, and Gangapurna Lake, formed by receding glaciers near Manang. These locations define the Annapurna Circuit and Sanctuary treks, showcasing geological formations ranging from 7,000-meter granite walls to high-altitude turquoise waters.
