Graz's Absolute Must-Sees

Graz's architectural landscape spans from the medieval streets of the UNESCO-listed Old Town to the futuristic Kunsthaus and the floating Murinsel. The city’s history is anchored by the Schloßberg hill, home to the iconic 28-meter-tall Uhrturm and a former fortress. Cultural landmarks include the Styrian Armoury, housing the world's largest collection of historical weaponry, and the Baroque Schloss Eggenberg. Significant religious and civic sites include the 15th-century Gothic Cathedral, the Mannerist Mausoleum of Emperor Ferdinand II, and the Neo-Renaissance Rathaus located on the Main Square.

Graz's Sacred Sites

Graz's religious landscape is defined by its architectural diversity, ranging from the Gothic Cathedral and the Mannerist Mausoleum of Emperor Ferdinand II to the hilltop Baroque Mariatrost Basilica. The city's skyline is punctuated by the Neo-Gothic spire of Herz-Jesu-Kirche, the tallest in Styria, alongside centuries-old monastic complexes like the Franciscan Monastery.
