Heritage Sites

Qatar’s historical landscape spans from Neolithic rock carvings to 20th-century administrative centers. This collection features the UNESCO-listed Al Zubarah Archaeological Site, a former pearling hub, alongside desert fortifications like Al Zubara Fort and Zekreet Fort. Al Zubarah Archaeological Site

Al Khor Archeological Ruins

Site of an ancient purple dye industry dating back to the 2nd millennium BCE. Archaeological evidence includes mounds of crushed murex shells used by the Kassites to produce pigment.

Fishing village Ruins

Remains of abandoned coastal settlements featuring traditional stone houses and mosques. These ruins illustrate Qatari village life and maritime architecture prior to the mid-20th century.
