The Snæfellsnes Peninsula’s coastline features diverse geological formations, ranging from the black sands and iron shipwreck remains of Djúpalónssandur to the 75-meter-high basalt pinnacles of Lóndrangar. These volcanic plugs serve as nesting sites for various seabirds.
