Kotor Körfezi'ndeki kaleler ve şatolar
Forts and Palaces of Kotor Bay
The Bay of Kotor’s landscape is defined by a layered defense system spanning centuries of Mediterranean history. This collection features the medieval Venetian walls of Kotor, Ottoman strongholds in Herceg Novi, and the sophisticated 19th-century Austro-Hungarian mountain batteries. Alongside these military structures stand the Baroque maritime palaces of Perast, built by wealthy captains to showcase the naval prosperity and architectural elegance of the 17th and 18th centuries.
The Clock Tower
This 1602 monument in Kotor's main square features Renaissance and Baroque architectural elements. A medieval pillory stands at its base, which was historically used for public shaming.
Kabala
An Austro-Hungarian coastal fortification on the Luštica Peninsula, built as part of the maritime defense network to monitor the entrance to Boka Kotorska.
