Burgas Unmissables

Burgas is defined by its coastal landscape, from the salt lakes of Atanasovsko to the Poda bird sanctuary. The city's history is preserved in the 19th-century St. Cyril and Metodius Church and the Akve Kalide archaeological site, which features restored Roman baths. Cultural life centers around the Sea Garden’s open-air stages and the Regional Historical Museum, while the iconic 1980s pier offers a vantage point over the Black Sea toward St. Anastasia Island.

Alyosha

Commemorating the Red Army, this monument can be seen from a distance. Actually, it is a statue of a saluting soldier on a pillar.

St. Cyril and Metodius Church

One of the most famous church in Burgas is marvellous both from the outside and inside. It was built in 1899 and designed by Usta Gencho.

The Burgas Pier
