Bor District and the surrounding Iron Gates region contain a dense concentration of karst phenomena and protected landscapes. Ponicova Cave

The largest cave in the Danube Gorge, featuring 1,660 meters of galleries that traverse the Ciucaru Mare mountain and exit at the river level.
