Andorra's Historic Churches

Andorra's religious heritage is defined by its well-preserved Romanesque architecture, dating back to between the 9th and 12th centuries. This collection features the Church of St. Coloma, the country's oldest, alongside smaller chapels like Sant Andreu and Sant Vicenç d'Enclar. These structures are characterized by Lombard-style bell towers, granite masonry, and slate roofs, reflecting the traditional building techniques of the Pyrenees. Many sites are strategically positioned along ancient royal roads or on elevated hillsides overlooking the valley floor.
