Lakes and Waterfalls

Andorra's high-altitude landscape is defined by glacial cirques and steep valleys. This collection features the Tristaina lake circuit in Ordino, the trout-filled waters of Estany de les Truites in the Comapedrosa Natural Park, and the UNESCO-listed Madriu-Perafita-Claror valley lakes. Notable waterfalls include the accessible Cascada de les Moles and the Toll Bullidor near Meritxell, which features a dedicated viewing platform overlooking the rocky gorge.

Estany de les Truites

Cascade du Taureau

A waterfall located in the high-altitude terrain near the Incles Valley.

Estany Esbalçat

A glacial lake in the Ordino parish, uniquely formed by a massive prehistoric landslide from the surrounding peaks.

Estany de Cabana Sorda

A lake in the Incles Valley sitting at 2,290 meters, featuring a stone mountain shelter on its northern shore.

Estany Gran de la Pera

A high mountain lake located near the border with Spain, frequently accessed via the Perafita valley.

Estany del Mig

The central lake of the Tristaina glacial cirque in Ordino, situated at an altitude of 2,287 meters.

Estany Primer

The lowest of the three Tristaina lakes, known for its clear waters and accessibility from the Ordino Arcalís resort.

Estany de Més Amunt

The highest and deepest lake in the Tristaina circuit, located at 2,300 meters at the base of the Tristaina peak.

Estany Petit de la Pera
