Best Beaches in Karpathos

Karpathos features a diverse coastline ranging from the sheltered turquoise bays of the east coast to the wind-swept lagoons of the south. High-profile spots like Apella and Achata offer deep, crystalline waters framed by steep limestone cliffs and pine trees. In the south near Afiartis, beaches like Diakofti provide shallow waters and fine white sand, while northern gems like Agios Minas offer seclusion with gravel shores and traditional chapels accessible via dirt tracks or boat.

Apella

Situated on the east coast below Volada, this beach features deep turquoise water, white pebbles, and a backdrop of pine-covered mountains. It is accessible via a winding paved road or excursion boat.
