Historic Sites of Kerry
The Iveragh Peninsula contains a high concentration of archaeological remains spanning from the Bronze Age to the medieval period. This collection features massive dry-stone ring forts like Staigue and Cahergal, which showcase advanced early Christian engineering. The landscape is also marked by Bronze Age ritual sites, including the Kenmare and Uragh stone circles, and the coastal ruins of Ballycarbery and Ballinskelligs castles. These landmarks provide insight into the defensive, residential, and ceremonial history of County Kerry.
Kenmare Stone Circle
Bronze Age ritual site featuring 15 standing stones arranged in an elliptical shape with a central boulder tomb. It is one of the largest stone circles in southwest Ireland.
Beehive Huts
Early Christian dry-stone dwellings, known as clocháns, built without mortar using a corbelled roofing technique.
Cahergal Ring Fort
Large stone-built ring fort dating to approximately 600 AD, featuring terraced inner walls and the remains of a central stone circular house.

Ruined 18th-century house at Carhan where the Irish political leader, known as "The Liberator," was born in 1775.
Leacanabuile Ring Fort
