Miyazaki Essentials

Miyazaki’s Nichinan coastline is defined by the Devil's Washboard, a unique geological formation of straight basalt rock layers surrounding Aoshima Island. Devil's Washboard

These natural rock formations consist of straight rows of basalt created by wave erosion over millions of years. Located along the Nichinan Coast, they are visible during low tide surrounding Aoshima Island.
