Novo mesto Essentials

Novo mesto is the administrative center of the Dolenjska region, built on a prominent bend of the Krka River. The town is a significant archaeological site, famous for Iron Age situlae displayed at the Dolenjska Museum. The historic core includes the Cathedral of St. Nicholas with its Tintoretto altarpiece and the early 20th-century City Hall.
