Parks and Gardens

Prague’s green spaces range from the formal symmetry of 17th-century Baroque gardens, like Waldstein and Vrtba, to the expansive Royal Game Reserve (Stromovka). The 16th-century Renaissance Queen Anne’s Summer Palace sits within the Royal Garden, while the historic Vyšehrad fortress provides panoramic views from its 10th-century ramparts. In the Troja district, the Prague Zoo and Botanical Garden house diverse wildlife and flora. Central retreats include the riverside Kampa Island and the Rose Garden atop Petřín Hill.
