Rauma's Essential Treasures

Rauma offers a rare look at Finnish heritage through its two UNESCO World Heritage sites. Old Rauma features nearly 600 well-preserved wooden buildings dating back to the 18th and 19th centuries, while the Sammallahdenmäki burial site contains over 30 granite cairns from the Bronze Age. The city’s history is further showcased in the 18th-century Old Town Hall and the Church of the Holy Cross, a late-medieval stone structure known for its original interior frescoes.
