Sagres Essentials

Sagres marks the southwestern tip of Europe, defined by sheer limestone cliffs and a historical connection to the Age of Discovery. This collection includes the 15th-century Sagres Fortress, home to a massive stone wind compass, and the Lighthouse of Cabo de São Vicente, built over a former Franciscan convent. Praia do Tonel

Situated on the western side of Sagres Point, this sandy beach is positioned directly beneath the fortress cliffs. It is exposed to strong Atlantic winds and swells, making it a primary location for surfing.
