Best of Tábor

A walk through the hilltop town that the Hussites founded in 1420 and named after the biblical Mount Tabor. It starts at the dam of Jordán, one of the oldest dam reservoirs in Central Europe, right by the Nový ráj bus stop. It climbs past the old water tower to Žižka Square, with its Gothic town hall and the passages cut into the rock beneath it, then winds through lanes laid out to confuse invaders to a monastery garden above the Lužnice valley, and ends at Kotnov Castle and the Bechyně Gate.
