Vientiane's religious landscape is anchored by the 16th-century Pha That Luang, a gold-covered stupa serving as the national symbol of Laos. A remote forest temple located on a sandstone plateau. The site features ancient rock-cut Buddha images and remains of historical structures dating back several centuries.
