Vyšší Brod Essentials

Located at the southernmost point of the Czech Republic, Vyšší Brod is defined by its 13th-century Cistercian monastery and the Gothic Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. The Vltava River flows through the town, leading to the Lipno II balancing reservoir. Nearby, the Devil's Wall nature reserve showcases a massive granite boulder field. The town also hosts a branch of the Postal Museum and serves as the starting point for trails to the St. Wolfgang waterfalls and 17th-century Swedish fortifications.
