Hida Essentials

Hida combines centuries-old tradition with modern scientific achievement. The historic district of Furukawa is defined by the Seto River and its white-walled storehouses, which house the intricate floats of the UNESCO-recognized Furukawa Festival. To the north, the Kamioka area features a reconstructed castle and the Kamioka Lab, an interactive facility dedicated to Nobel Prize-winning neutrino research.
