Hida Essentials

Hida combines centuries-old tradition with modern scientific achievement. The historic district of Furukawa is defined by the Seto River and its white-walled storehouses, which house the intricate floats of the UNESCO-recognized Furukawa Festival. This museum exhibits three of the nine ornate festival floats (yatai) used in the Furukawa Festival. It features a 4K theater and displays related to the energetic Okoshi Daiko (Rousing Drum) ritual held every April.

Setogawa-river good view point
