Kovalam’s coastline is defined by three distinct crescent beaches: the bustling Lighthouse Beach, the central Hawa Beach, and the quieter Samudra Beach to the north. At the southern tip stands the 35-meter-tall Vizhinjam Lighthouse, providing panoramic views of the Arabian Sea. Beyond the shore, the 8th-century Vizhinjam Rock Temple contains ancient Hindu carvings, while the Sagarika Marine Research Aquarium displays local aquatic life.
