Malaga’s coastline offers diverse environments, from the central, bustling Malagueta Beach to the water-sport-oriented La Misericordia. To the east, the historic Baños del Carmen features early 20th-century bathing pavilions, while the traditional fishing districts of Pedregalejo and El Palo are characterized by series of small, man-made coves. Located in a former fishing district, this beach consists of several small, sheltered coves protected by stone jetties. The promenade is lined with traditional seafood restaurants specializing in espetos de sardinas grilled over open wood fires.
