Selinunte Unmissables

Selinunte Archaeological Park on Sicily's southwest coast contains some of the most significant remains of Magna Graecia. This collection highlights the Eastern Hill's massive Doric structures, including the colossal Temple G and the reconstructed Temple E. It also covers the fortified Acropolis, which overlooks the Mediterranean with its grid-patterned streets and temple ruins, and the Sanctuary of Demeter Malophoros, a vital religious site located across the Modione river. These sites showcase 6th and 5th-century BC Greek architecture and urban planning.
