Historic Churches and Ruins

Visby’s UNESCO-listed cityscape is defined by its concentration of medieval religious architecture. These two adjacent ruins represent some of Visby's oldest religious sites. St. Hans dates to the late 11th century, while St. Per was added in the 13th century. They historically served as the main parish churches for the town's Nordic population.
