It also includes significant conversions, such as the Saatli and Çınarlı mosques, where bell towers and Christian architecture were adapted for Islamic worship. The Hamidiye Mosque stands out as the only historic mosque in the district originally built as such.

Saatli Camii

Originally built as the Agios Ioannis Church in the late 19th century, this structure was converted into a mosque in 1928. It is characterized by its prominent clock tower, which previously served as the church bell tower.

A former neo-classical Greek church that has been transformed to Mosque. Probably the most elaborately decorated mosque in the city.

Built in 1885 during the reign of Sultan Abdulhamid II, this is the only mosque in Ayvalık's historic center that was originally constructed as an Islamic place of worship rather than being converted from a church.
