Banská Štiavnica’s religious landscape is defined by its architectural diversity, ranging from Late Gothic monuments to Baroque complexes. This collection includes the late 15th-century Church of St. Catherine, the Empire-style Evangelical Church, and the prominent Calvary on Scharffenberg Hill. The Calvary, a masterpiece of Baroque art, consists of three churches and several chapels representing the Stations of the Cross. Kostol svätej Kataríny

A Late Gothic church built between 1488 and 1491. It features a notable star vault and houses a 16th-century wooden sculpture of the Madonna and a valuable Late Gothic baptistery.
