Naha's Crown Jewels

Naha serves as the historical heart of the Ryukyu Kingdom, anchored by the reconstructed Shurijo Castle and the UNESCO-listed Tamaudun Mausoleum. The city features the Shikinaen Royal Garden, which showcases a blend of Japanese and Chinese landscaping, and the sacred Sonohyan-utaki stone gate. Beyond its royal heritage, Naha offers the Okinawa Prefectural Museum’s architectural nod to traditional fortresses, the coastal Naminoue Shrine perched on a cliff, and the Fukushuen Garden, a symbol of the city's long-standing ties to Fuzhou, China.
