New Caledonia’s history is preserved through sites spanning the colonial era, the penal colony period, and the World Wars. This collection includes the Site Historique de l'Île Nou, a former 19th-century penal colony, and the Ecomusee du cafe, which documents the region’s agricultural heritage.
