Öland's Historic Churches

Öland’s ecclesiastical landscape is defined by its medieval heritage and 19th-century neoclassical "Tegnér churches." This collection features sites ranging from the exceptionally preserved 12th-century Romanesque Gärdslösa kyrka to structures with fortified defensive towers like Persnäs and Högby.
