The Portuguese king Luís I used to live in this 19th-century residence. The Ajuda Palace has been a national monument since 1910. It features a huge collection of furniture, art and photos.
When visiting, you will have access to two floors: the ground floor and State Rooms. The ground floor will let you explore various private chambers such as the Audience Room where Luís I used to receive his visitors and the Music Room where the royal family held their musical evenings. The State Rooms house mainly rooms intended for receptions and private offices.
Unfortunately, the option of buying the tickets online is not available. There is a parking lot located nearby in case you will arrive by car. If you want to get to the palace by public transport it is best reachable by tram 18.
