Located close to the imposing Dresden Semperoper is another fascinating building. Its existence dates back to the 1830's when it was built but it was nearly destroyed during WWII. However, it was reconstructed and nowadays it is one of the main architectural gems of Dresden. It is also a lovely example of neoclassicism.
