Arab Street

Explore this colourful district to its fullest by browsing through its charming houses, textile shops, and small cafés. The name probably comes from the former owner of this area and it is the best place to experience the traditional atmosphere of old Singapore. The area is a popular souvenir-shopping destination; great range of items at good price.

The whole district is known for its Middle Eastern feel. You can choose from an array of hip restaurants and cheap food stalls serving the best of Middle Eastern cuisine. While wandering through the streets, be sure to look up and marvel at the buildings' facades, colourful windows, and splendid details.

Arab Street can be easily accessed via MRT, it is located only a short walk from Bugis station.
