Located near Chinatown, Little India is a lively and charming Tamil neighbourhood with lots of small spice and textile shops, fortune-telling stalls and way more. This is the place to go if you crave some authentic Indian dishes at great prices or if you want to explore both Hindu and Chinese temples and culture. Be also sure to check the splendid colonial storehouses which line most of the streets here.
This area is a place of many cultural events and celebrations throughout the year. If you are lucky to be in Singapore during some of the famous festivities (Deepavali and Pongal) you are going to be overwhelmed by all the colours, lights and joyous atmosphere.
The district can be accessed from three MRT stations - Little India, Farrer Park or Rochor.
