Built by Josep Puig i Cadafalch in 1901, Casa Macaya revives the Gothic style with its elaborately engraved designs on the walls, intricately carved arches and ironwork decorations. Also, note the sculptures created by Eusebi Arnau and Alfons Juyol.
The building was renovated in 2012 and it is now used as a cultural centre. The admission is free so go ahead and peek inside to see the magnificent entrance hall and the interior courtyard. It is not as popular as other sights, so it is rarely as crowded. If you don't have time to see the interior, come anyway because the exterior is definitely worth admiring.
