The 10m-tall kinetic sculpture is yet another artwork by the famous Czech sculptor David Černý (who is also the author of e.g. "London Booster", "Speed" or "Thinker" statue). This bust of a Prague-born writer, Franz Kafka (known for works such as The Castle, The Metamorphosis or In the Penal Colony), is made of 42 independently rotating layers. Their movement creates an interesting performance that might or might not refer to The Metamorphosis story by Kafka. It is up to you to decide!
The sculpture is a popular sight in Prague and has been since 2014 when it was installed. Stop by and admire this mirrored sculpture that perfectly captures the spirit of the known novelist.
