Designed by Henry Bacon in 1923, this enormous reflecting pool is more than 600 meters long and 50 meters wide. Its surface can reflect both the Lincoln and Washington memorials. A tinted bottom was added to enhance the reflection. The area has been the site of many important historical events, such as Obama Inaugural Celebration.
Rangers are on duty at the sites to answer questions from 9:30 am to 10:00 pm daily.
