This train station, one of the landmarks of the city of Milan, is an excellent representative of the 20th-century architecture, combining the styles of Art Deco and Liberty. Inside, you can find equally beautifully decorated interior with vaulted ceilings and sculptures.
In addition, it holds several records: it is the busiest and the second largest train station in Italy. Its magnificently decorated main hall, spanning over 72 square meters, is the largest in the country, too.
Aside from its primary function as a transportation hub, the station also hosts many shops, ranging from a bookstore to Desigual, as well as restaurants and cafés. It also serves as a terminus of high-speed lines, connecting Milan with the rest of Europe.
Ticket office: daily 5:50 am - 10:20 pm
Opening hours of shops vary, usually: daily 8 am - 9 pm
